Cori Gauff is finally getting ready to have yet another great run at the Australian Open. The American sensation is currently in quarantine, but fortunately, she is not part of that group of 72 players that have to observe strict confinement. Coco has been doing some training in her hotel room. After being cleared, she had the chance to practice on court with her close friend Caty McNally. It was Coco to post this video visibly happy with hitting some balls on court.

Last year in Melbourne, Coco reached the second week (4th round) after she defeated Naomi Osaka that was the defending champion.

Currently the world no.48, the American played her last match on the 9th of January when she was overcome by Maria Sakkari 7-5 6-2 in the 2nd round in Abu Dhabi (draw).

Now ranked no.122, Caty played her last match on the 12th of January when she surrendered to Harmony Tan 6-1 6-4 in the qualifications of the Australian Open Qualifying (draw).
At present, during this year the American has achieved a 1-1 match record.
Cori Gauff and Caty McNally clashed against each other only once. The head to head is 1-0 for Gauff. When they played, Cori Gauff won 3-6 6-3 6-4 in the 1st round in Miami (Miami Open) in March 2019.
