Juan Martin had an incredible Indian Wells to defeat Murray, Djokovic and being very close to beat also Nadal in the Indian Wells final where he was 1 set and 1 break up.

During a recent interview the Argentine talks about the new found confidence and his physical condiciton.

About his wrist

Juan Martin has been sidelined for some months in 2010 because of a nasty injury to they left wrist that was preventing him from blasting his backhand. 

“I’m trying to not change anything, but sometimes when I feel something I play slices or different way of my backhand,” he said.

“But I’m trying to don’t change a lot, because when I get the okay my wrist, I will need to hit my backhand as I hit before. If I change my tennis it will be worse for me.”.

About his tennis

“I am playing well,” he commented. “The results show my level and of course  some things to improve on my game like I am doing, using the slices. Also I would like to come more often to the net. But I’m working on that. Every tournament is a chance to do it.”

Playing in Miami

“I’m excited to play Miami,” he said. “You know, many Argentinian fans, friends, family, come to watch me there. It’s a very good tournament, as well. I’m so exciting to be playing there. I think many fans come to watch us around the world. But basically Miami, Argentinian fans, the facilities to get there are easier and that’s the reason of that.”
