Del Potro is upset by Kamke in Miami

That was a horrible day at the office for Delpo. Juan Martin had a superb Indian Wells to defeat Murray and Djokovic back to back and to be really close to defeat Rafael Nadal in the final when he was leading 1 set and a break up.

Delpo’s performance with Kamke was quite different….The match lasted 1 hour and  50 minutes. After battling in the first set with an exchange of breaks, Delpo lost the opener at the tiebreak even if he won more points than Kamke (50 vs 47). The Tower of Tandil imploded in the second set to lose 6-1.

From Delpo

“Yeah, we had a big delay, but it doesn’t affect my game,” he said. “I think I came to the court again trying to be aggressive, but I made a lot of mistakes,”

“I was excited to play here, but, you know, just a bad day and he played really well. He took the chance to beat me tonight, and I think that’s it.” added Juan Martin.

Kamke will play Melzer in the second round as the Austrian defeated Granollers 6-3 6-4. This will be the first match between Melzer and Kamke.
