FAMILY. Isner like Federer will not play the Australian Open to stay with his wife and children

This is why John Isner decided not to play the Australian Open this year.

John Isner And His Family

John Isner is a family man and he decided not to play the Australian Open not to be separated from his wife and children. The American has followed Roger Federer’s example that has been reported skipping the first slam of the year not because of his physical condition, but because he didn’t want to stay away from his family for too long.

During the press conference that followed his demise in Delray Beach (draw) at the hands of Sebastian Korda, John explained the reason for his choice:

“At this stage in my career and in my life, I’ve always had visions of being able to travel with my family. And of course, that wouldn’t be the case for Australia this year. Understandably so, I get it.It really was just a situation where I didn’t want to be away from my family for that long. So, I’ve decided to stay home,” he commented.

John and his lovely wife Madison have a daughter Hunter Grace (born in September 2018) and a son named John Hobbs (October 2019).
