Tommy Haas is a couple of steps away from winning the 2013 BMW Open in Munich.

The world no.14 beats his compatriot 6-4 6-1 in only 58 minutes.

“I’m very pleased overall with how today’s match went,” commented Haas.

“He came out strong, went up an early break and played some good tennis. Luckily for me, I came back and played a really good game to even it at 3-all. At the end of the first set, he gave me a few opportunities to close it out and I took advantage of that. I had the momentum in the second set as well.”

The semis vs. Dodig

Tommy will play Dodig in the semifinal as the Croat defeated Dolgolopov 6-4 6-4, Head to head is 1-0 for Haas.

In the other semifinal Daniel Brands (upset Tipsarevic 6-3 4-6 6-4) will play his compatriot Philip Kohlschreiber (6-3 7-6 on Troicki).
