Teenager Madison Keys upsets Li Na in Madrid

What a great match from the American teenager! Madison was a bit nervous not to be sure to be”in tune” with the surface, to then surprise everybody with a very good match.

“I had practice really early this morning because I didn’t think I was in” said Madison.

The match was rather smooth with Madison winning 54 points vs. Li Na’s 33.

“I was so excited and adrenaline was going and all that. I just kind of started playing and felt really good and I was able to win. And it was my first red clay court tournament since I was, like, 14. So getting a big win feels good.” Keys added.

Madison will play Medina-Garrigues in the second round. This will be the first match between the two.
