It’s a super, great, magnificent Rafa.
The Spanish star was just too much for Stanislas Wawrinka that was completely outplayed especially at the beginning of the match when he found himself 0-4 in no time.
At the end of the day it took only 71 minutes for Rafa to win this final without conceding a single break point to break Wawrinka 3 times.
Eventually the King of Clay won 59 points vs. Wawrinka’s 39.

“I’m very happy. I think I played a really good match. I think I played the best match of the whole week today in the final. Being able to play here in Madrid and being able to win in front of all my people, is something really special.” commented Rafa
This was Rafa’s 55th career title, the 3rd in Madrid.
Stanislas Wawrinka should not be unhappy as he will return in the top 10 this coming Monday.
