Recently, television commentator Brett Haber revealed Naomi’s “secret” and why top players like Serena Williams struggle against her.
Brett commented:
“The opponents have difficulty breaking her motivations and her great concentration, she has perhaps even luckily won a Grand Slam victory in this strange 2020, and in Tokyo at the Olympic games to be held in July she will have a great chance to win.”
Naomi Osaka’s fitness
The world no.3 is great in coupling her mental strength with proper fitness. Her trainer reported that Naomi is used to dedicating at least 4.5 hours to her activity every day while most of it is physical training.
The former world no.1 will kick start her season in Adelaide, where she will play a high-level exhibition with top players such as Ashleigh Barty, Serena Williams and Simona Halep. After that event, she is scheduled to go to Melbourne, where she will play one of the 2 WTA500 events.

Ranked world no.3, the Japanese played her last match on the 12th of September 2020 when she overcame Victoria Azarenka 1-6 6-3 6-3 in the final of the U.S. Open to win her 6th career title.

Ranked world no.11, Serena Williams was supposed to play on the 30th of September 2020. However, she conceded a walk over to Tsvetana Pironkova in the 2nd round of the French Open (draw).
Until now, during this year the American has managed to achieve a compiled 0-0 win-loss record.
