Smashing Serena beats Simona Halep to reach the final in Rome

Serena is getting stronger and stronger and she is ready to win her 51st career title.

The American confirms that she is playing her best tennis also on clay. After winning last week in Madrid, Serena had to confirm she is the world no.1 also on clay… and she is doing it.

The American reaches the final in Rome by dropping only 10 games in her 4 matches. What’s more  impressing is that she has served a bagel (6-0) in the last 3 matches!

The semifinal lasted only 65 minutes with Serena breaking Simona 5 times to be broken only once.

After the match the world no.1 commented “I love the clay. I haven’t had many wins at Roland Garros, but I do love it. I love to slide. My goal is just to win a match there this year.”

The final vs Azarenka

Serena will play Victoria Azrenka in the final. Head to head is 11-2 for Serena, but Vika won the last one (th final in Doha). They have never played each other on the red clay.
