Another tournament another title!

Serena looks more and more unstoppable on clay. After winning Madrid last week Serena, now Serena conquers Rome by dropping only 14 games in the whole tournament.

The final was a one way traffic match with Serena breaking Vika twice from the very beginning. At the end of the match Serena scored 41 winners(vs. Vika’s 12) and 9 aces. That was a nice way to avenge her loss in Doha final against Azarenka in February.

From Serena

“It wasn’t easy, nothing is ever easy,” Serena commented.

“Last year I was feeling excellent on clay but didn’t do that great at Roland Garros; this year I’m cautious and I want to work hard and stay focused and win every point I play, and not slack at all.”

From Vika

“She definitely showed incredible tennis today,” the Belarus said. “But I don’t think the score says how close the match was. She was better at the key moments.”
