Bad news, very bad news for the Roland Garros.
Unfortunately the world no.2 will not be able to play this year for his back injury. Andy had to retire in Rome against Granollers for a back injury to immediately raise doubts about his participation in Paris.
Yesterday the Scott confirmed he won’t be able to play “It’s been a really tough decision, and I love playing in Paris, but after seeking medical advice I’m not fit to compete,”.
Andy will lose 360 points as last year he only reached the quarters in Paris.
The new seeding
Murray’s withdrawal, changes the seeding scenario as now Nole will be seed no.1, Roger no.2 and Rafa no.3.
Once again the most important element of the draw is if Nadal is going to fall in Djokovic’s or Federer’s half… we are sure that both will be very happy not to play him in the semifinals… Ferrer (seed no.4) is tough, but definitely more manageable than King of Clay!
