We have another chapter in Bernard’s troubled tennis career.
Tomic’s father has been banned for (badly) assaulting his sparring partner in Madrid. This created a huge mess and Tennis Australia had to step in to defend Tomic making it clear that (strange enough) Bernard didn’t cause any trouble this time.
After many speculations, we had the confirmation that Tomic will play in Paris and that his father will still be his coach despite the fact that he is not allowed to physically go to the matches.
From tennis Autrallia
Todd Woodbridge, the head of Tennis Australia, commented “From what I understand, John will be in Paris, but he’s obviously not going to be on-site. John is still going to be Bernard’s coach; he’s just not going to be on-site.”
“From correspondence that I’ve had with John, we’re expecting Bernard to be playing. He’s getting to Paris in the next day or so and is in normal preparations for the tournament.” he added.
Now we just hope that Tomic is going to have a smashing French Open tu put this story behind him.
