Tennis Australia has decided to organize an exhibition in Adelaide by the end of January. The overall idea was to relieve some pressure from Melbourne to quarantine the tennis players and their team. Therefore they manage to get “help” from South Australia that agreed to quarantine 50 people. In return, Tennis Australia decided to organize an exhibition with the top players in the world.
The local fans will have the opportunity to see the top3 players of both the ATP and the WTA tour. The great news is that Serena Williams (currently ranked 11) will take part in the event to join Naomi Osaka, Simona Halep and Ashleigh Barty.
On the men’s side, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Dominic Thiem will participate. Predictably also, their training partners will be there. So the spectators may also have the opportunity to see in action the Italian rising star Jannik Sinner that was scheduled to play for an entire week with Rafael Nadal.
