This period can be represent a turning point for Gael Monfils that is trying to climb up the ATP rankings.
After winning the challenger last week in Bordeaux, Gael is now playing for the title in Nice and in few days he will play Berdych in what is going to be the most interesting first rounf of the Roland Garros.
The semifinal final against Andujar was quite “dangerous” for Gael as the Spaniard is playing one of his best tennis (he has just defeated seed no.2 Gilles Simons in straight set in the quarter finals). Finally the Frenchman won 6-4 7-5 in 1 hour and 40 minutes.
