The ATP and the WTA seemed to be on the same tune when the pandemic altered the tours. They started to release joint communicates with many hoping for a merge. However, the tennis fans and players remained baffled and disoriented after their popular joint app showing live results was discontinued.
How to check the ATP, WTA live scores with an App
The discontinued app was hugely successful because it used to show the scores, results and stats of all tours together. Right now, if someone wants to go through the “official” websites, he or she has only the opportunity to check separately the results on the platforms of the ATP and WTA.
This was the statement from the WTA:
“The WTA and ATP have announced the discontinuation of the ATP/WTA Live Scores App across all mobile and desktop platforms. As a result of changes made to the data feed, the app is no longer able to support the technical requirements of both the ATP & WTA.”
The ATP added:
“From today, mobile users will be redirected to the official ATP App, the home of ATP Live Scores which offers an enhanced user experience, and to a dedicated WTA Live Scoring page on wtatennis.com.”
