Naomi Osaka is becoming more and more a global phenomenon that is going far beyond tennis. The Japanese sensation started to occupy the headlines first with her success at the grand slams. Then Osaka grabbed the attention beyond her fans and sport when she started to be extremely vocal about the issues faced by the black community, especially in the US.
The world no.3 is also a darling of many top brands because of her multi-ethnicity. Naomi was raised in the US by her Japanese mother Tamaki and father Leonard Francois.
Osaka also attracted a lot of attention in Japan and now she also has her manga character. The former world no.1 proudly published some of the pictures of a magazine where her manga will feature in February.
The Japanese made fun of her parents posting:
“And my parents told me and my sister that reading manga was a waste of time. Haha guess who utilized all that info as a kid and now has a whole manga coming out in February? 🙋🏽♀️😛 lesson is- if you have a passion work towards it. Anyways we’re coming for that top manga spot lol”
