What a great moment for Simona!
The young Romanian won her first career title in Nuremberg last week to win the second one now in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
Simona had a wonderful tournament to drop the only one set in the first match to then trash the seed no.1 (and world no.11) Roberta Vinci 6-0 6-1.
The final was also rather smooth with Halep dropping 6 games and win the match in 71 minutes.
Simona now will head to Wimbledon full of confidence. She may face Li Na in the second round.
