Vika is not a happy player right now.
The Belarus had a tricky first round to concede only 3 games to her opponent, but a terrible slip caused her an injury to the knee. After 48 hours of resting the bad news broke: Vika was not fit to play against Flavia Pennetta.
From Vika
“The court was not in a very good condition that day. My opponent fell twice and I fell badly,I don’t know if it’s the court or the weather. I can’t figure it out.
There is nothing I’ve done wrong that caused me to just withdraw from Wimbledon.” said Vika.
Pennetta to the third round
Former top 10 player Flavia Pennetta will take advantage of it. Flavia will play Alize Cornet from France that has defeated Hsieh from Taiwan 6-3 6-2. Head to head 3-1 for Pennetta.
