Kei Nishikori had a rather rough 2020. The Japanese sensation has been struggling for long with all sorts of injuries, and he managed to play just 6 matches last season (see record). Back in 2019, he had also to undergo an elbow operation to correct an issue.

Nishikori and Delray Beach

Nishikori was due to play his first tournament of the season in Delray Beach, but eventually, he decided to miss it.

However, not playing in Florida doesn’t mean that Kei is bound to have another tricky year, mostly out of the competitions. The former world no.4 announced his upcoming schedule with 6 tournaments on his radar.

February 1st – ATP Cup
February 8th – Australian Open
March 1st – Rotterdam
March 8th – Marseille
March 15th – Dubai
March 24th – Miami

Kei Nishikori in 2021

Ranked world no.41, Kei played his last match on the 15th of November 2018 when he was overcome by Dominic Thiem 6-1 6-4 in the round robin in the Nitto ATP Finals (draw).
