Berdych beats Brands to advance to the third round in Wimbledon

Tomas got another win in straight sets to be on a collision path with Nole.

The Czech blasted 15 aces (only 1 double fault) and a whopping 55 winners (only 10 unforced errors) to break Brands 4 times. The only awkward moment was when Berdych had to save a set point on the tie-break when he was 5-6 down with a powerful forehand winner down the line.

Next vs. Anderson

Tomas will play in the next match Kevin Anderson.Berdych has a very good record against the South African to comment “I hope I can keep the winning streak, because I think it’s like 8-0 for me in the last matches with Kevin. I hope I can keep that and will be able to go through again. All the matches are quite close because we are both great servers, playing quite aggressively.”
