Jannik Sinner, Fabio Fognini, and David Goffin are among the top players that will compete in the ATP250 in Antalya next week (entry list). There was a lot of excitement about this event as it was the new season’s official kick start. However, the fans had the horrible news that Tennis TV will not broadcast the event, actually it seems that there will be no coverage at all.
According to the media outlet, they could not provide decent quality and then decided not to broadcast the tournament.
This is their statement:
“Unfortunately, Tennis TV will not be able to stream the 2021 Antalya Open.
This tournament – a single-year ATP 250 license added to the revised 2021 ATP Tour schedule on Wednesday 16th December – is not being distributed with streams of a satisfactory standard for Tennis TV on its various platforms.
As always, we strive to deliver the best possible streaming experience for all subscribers and on this rare occasion Tennis TV is unable to meet such requirements for this tournament.”
Here some comments by the fans that remained unhappy with the decision.
So the 2021 ATP season has started with :-
– Andy Murray pulling out of Delray Beach due to Covid-19 concerns
– TennisTV not streaming Antalya because the quality of their streams provided is not good enough
