Serena Williams dismantles evergreen Date-Krumm in Wimbledon

Serena is flying toward the title in Wimbledon.

The victim this time was the wonderful Japanese Date-Krumm that is still trading shots in Wimbledon at 42 years of age (chapeaux).

The match was quite a one way one with Serena in utter control of the situation. Serena won the match after only 61 minutes to get to a whopping 34 matches winning streak (the longest since 2000 when her sister Venus achieved 35 consecutive victories).

From Serena

The world no.1 didn’t drop a single set to concede only 11 games in the first part of the tournament. “You don’t want to play your best tennis in the first round and continue to go down. I feel like I try to play better as each match goes on. I try to find out something I can improve on from each match so I can do it better in the next round.” commented Serena

Next Vs. Lisiki

Serena will play next Sabine Lisiki that has defeated Sam Stosur 4-6 6-2 6-1. Head to head is 2-0 for Serena.
