Agnieszka is aiming at the final in Wimbledon… once again.
The 2012 runner-up had a fine match to survive a very aggressive Li Na (58 winners and 40 unforced errors) in a tense 3 setter in 2 hours and 42 minutes.
The match was heavily influenced by poor second serves as Agnieszka committed 5 double faults (vs. Li Na’s 4) and the Pole managed to win only 9 points out of 25 on her second serve (Li Na won 13 out of 30).
Radwanska had an incredible catch in the opening set when she saved a set point with a perfect backhand down the line on Li Na’s overhead. In the third set the Pole got the match only at the 8th match point.
From Agnieszka
The Pole had worrying comment about her fitness as she was clearly struggling at the end of the match to comment ”It’s because of too much tennis over the last few days. That’s why I was struggling. But it’s a good problem. I will keep going and try my best.”
The semis vs. Lisicki
Radwanska will play Lisicki (6-3 6-3 on Kanepi) in the semifinal. Head to head is 1-1. ”Sabine and I know each other so it will be a big challenge for me to play her on grass.” commented Agnieszka.
