Fantastic Murray beats Janowicz to reach the Wimbledon final

What a sticky match for Andy.

The home favourite had to face an unpredictable Janowicz to win the match in 4 sets, but that wasn’t easy.

Andy lost the first at the breaker to then win the second one 6-4. Then a big controversy sparked.

The Roof Controversy

The officials took the decision to close the roof (to translate it: no good for Murray, and very good for Janowicz) to make Andy absolutely angry, The decision came because the light was fading.

The same happened in last year’s Wimbledon final and that was a key turning point against Andy that was dominating Federer to then collapse in 4 sets. For this reason the Scott was really upset by the decision to comment “It’s ridiculous. It’s not even dark. You can’t close it now, man. This is an  outdoor tournament. I don’t  understand these rules.”

Funny enough this time that was a very good thing for Andy that when he went back to play under the roof he won 5 consecutive games to recover a 1-4 deficit in the 3rd set to then win the 4th 6-3.

From Andy

Murray after the match had a couple of thoughts about the final to comment “I think I’ll probably be in a better place mentally.

I might wake up on Sunday and be unbelievably nervous, more nervous than I ever have been before, but I wouldn’t expect to be.”

From Jerzy

Janowicz released some comments about the “roof controversy” to say “He was also complaining it’s really dark, so I don’t know. He was asking about the roof when it was 4-1 for me in the third set. What can I do? I care about myself. I don’t care if he was angry.”
