Isner had to come out a strange match vs. Mannarivo to defeatd him in straight sets. After a very easy set when John served a bagel (6-0) he had to battle through a much trickier second set that was decided by a couple of points at the breaker.
Isner balasted 13 aces vs. Mannarivo’s 2 and he lost only 2 points out of 35 on his first serve.
“This certainly could be a match that can come down to just a point here and there. The main thing for me is to focus and hold onto my serve as much as I can.” said John.
Karlovic – Popsisil 6-4 1-6 6-3
Ivo had to battle to get this match. The croat balsted “only” 7 aces to win less points than Pospisil (81 vs 84).
