It’s time of changes for King Roger as the former world no.1 wants to fight back to climb the ATP ranking after sinking to an “unfedererlike” world no.5.
Roger on the new racket…
So the Maestro decided to go for a larger racket head to comment “Yes, I have a new racquet. It features a larger racket head. So far I’ve played with a 90, now I’m going to a 98. I think 90% of the players on the ATP Tour have racket head sizes between 95 and 100. “
Since Wimbledon I’ve tested this, and so far it’s going great. I can easily develop with the new racquet. A racquet change is in my opinion one of the largest for a tennis player.”
.. and about testing new rackets
“I’ve tried bigger. The problem is we don’t have enough time to do racket testing, you know? I’m always talking to Wilson about: ‘What else do you have? What else can we test?’ And who knows? Maybe down the road, I’ll change again.” Added the Maestro
So far Roger has been playing with Wilson BLX Pro Staff 90, we still do not know the model of the new racket.
