Novak Djokovic and his wife Jelena can't stop helping he others with their generosity

Novak Djokovic Donation In Serbia

Novak Djokovic didn’t have the “best experience” with this pandemic. The Serbian superstar organized a rather controversial event, the Adria Tour, last summer to be heavily criticized for not observing safety measures. Novak and his wife Jelena also got infected by the virus, fortunately without consequences. However, that was an unfortunate occasion that should overshadow Novak’s relentless quest to help the others.

Djokovic’s generosity

The Serbian champion is well-known for his generosity. Novak and his wife Jelena are extremely active with their Foundation. They have made so many donations in the last few years that it is even difficult to track them.

During the pandemic, Novak has donated a wealth of money and machinery to various hospitals also outside Serbia. Recently, Novak donated to the Dr. Dragisa Misovic Clinical Hospital a CT Scanner worth €210,000. This piece of equipment will provide diagnostic results for COVID patients within just 15 seconds. In addition, when the virus will be defeated, this machine will be useful to diagnose patients in the gynecology, urology, and oncology departments.

Novak Djokovic released a lovely statement thanking the health workers for their incredible contribution in the last few months.

The praise from the Serbian Minister of Health

The Serbian Minister of Health, Dr. Zlatibor Loncar, thanked Novak Djokovic for his donation to comment:

“On behalf of the citizens of Serbia, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Novak and Jelena, and their Foundation, because they have really done a lot since the beginning of this crisis in order to overcome the consequences of the pandemic.

Thank you Novak for always being there, with his people, and for fighting together against the evil virus.”
