Frances Tiafoe has been trying to find his path in pro tennis. The American sensation impressed when he broke into the top 30 at the beginning of the last year, but then he started to struggle with his results. Eventually, he was back to winning a title when he conquered the challenger in Parma last October.
About using his platforms like Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams
During a recent interview with Sky Sport, the American player expressed his feeling about fighting for racial justice. Frances used his powerful platform to support the Black Lives Matter movement following the examples of Naomi Osaka, Serena Williams, and Venus Williams.
Frances revealed that he probably did the best thing he has done in his life by supporting the black community.
Frances added:
“It’s a real-life thing. Will Smith said it, racism has been going on for a long time now. This is not some theme, this is a real-life thing. Obviously, in America I feel like we’re a bit divided right now but it’s something that’s going to take years and years.”

Frances and Naomi share a special relationship. Both she always stated that they were inspired by Serena and Venus Williams in their life and career.
During an interview in September, the American player was more than happy in sharing his admiration for Naomi Osaka and her activism.
Frances commented:
“She’s special. she’s special on and off court, what she stands for. I have been a fan ever since she popped off in the open here a couple years ago, and even before that. She is always nice and quiet. But to see actually her use her platforms and go crazy, it’s special. you tip your hat off to that.
I’m proud of her and I keep hoping she’s doing the same thing. I’m going to try to do my things on my front. Sloane is too. I know the Williams sisters are. All these guys. Yeah, I’m just happy to be a part of that list.”

Ranked world no.59, the American played his last match on the 31st of October when he lost to John Millman 3-6 6-4 6-4 in the semifinal in Nur (draw).

Ranked no.11, the American was supposed to play on the 30th of September. However, she conceded a walk over to Tsvetana Pironkova in the 2nd round of the French Open (draw).
Presently, during this year Serena Williams has a 17-5 match record. Serena conquered 1 title in Auckland.
Venus Williams in 2020
Now the world no.79, the American played her last match on the 27th of September when she surrendered to Karolina Anna Schmiedlova 6-4 6-4 in the 1st round of the French Open (draw).
Serena Williams and Venus Williams played each other 31 times. The head to head is 19-12 for Serena Williams. Previously, the last time when they played, Serena Williams won 3-6 6-3 6-4 in the 2nd round in Lexington (The Top Seed Open) on the 13th of August 2020.
