Jannik Sinner not happy with Zverev’s statement. Federer, Nadal would have done things differently

Jannik Sinner And Sascha Zverev

Jannik Sinner impressed for his run at the French Open. The Italian sensation reached the quarters after demolishing David Goffin in the 1st round. Then he beat also Sascha Zverev in the 4th round before losing with honor to Rafael Nadal.

However, Alexander Zverev hit once again the headlines for the wrong reason this year after losing to Jannik. The German was more than eager to claim the fact that he lost because he was sick. Of course, that wasn’t nice for Jannik, who scored what was the most important win of his career until that moment.

During a recent interview with the Italian outlet Il Corriere della Sera Jannik commented:

“I respect him a lot because he’s won more than me, he’s got more experience on the circuit, and he’s a great player. However, I do not respect his statements after he lost to me at Roland Garros. He contradicted himself a lot. He said he had a fever, but in the third and fourth sets, he ran more than me.”

After a while, Sascha released a post congratulating his French Open conqueror, but it seemed too obvious that that was written by his management company.

It seems that for the Italian, Sascha needs to still learn a lot from Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal to add:

“It seems to me that he was looking for an excuse after his defeat. Federer or Nadal, for example, would never have said such things.”

Unfortunately, Sascha was also slammed a couple of years ago when he refused to acknowledge Stefanos Tsitsipas when he lost to him during the Rogers Cup. On that occasion, the German said that he lost only because he played extremely badly and also Tsitsipas didn’t play that well.
