Roddick wins the 2011 ATP Tournament in Memphis – YouTube Video

That was interesting.

From one side there was the experience of a seasoned player (Roddick) and from ther other an upcoming star, the Canadian Milos Raonic.
The 20 years old is one of the brightest promise in professional tennis. He just won his first ATP in San Jose in style (without dropping a set) and is building up tennis and self-confidence.
It looked as it was a battle of serve. Andy Roddick fired 20 aces and the Canadian 32!
The context was so close that the match was decided only after 2 tight tie breaks (the first won by Roddick at 9 and the second by Raonic at 11) and a tricky third set (won by the American by 7-5).
Roddick looked quite satisfied, but Raonic could not really complain. He won the previous tournament, he lost the last one in the decider with a tennis legend and in the last two weeks he beat big names such as Verdasco (twice!), Blake, Stepanek and Fish.
May be we have a new champion.
