Daniil Medvedev is not having a fantastic period on court. In the last 4 tournaments, the Russian ace lost in the 1st round in Hamburg and at the French Open; he reached only the 2nd round in St. Petersburg and he go to the Vienna’s quarters. However, his recent run in Austria allowed him to go up 1 place in the rankings to be the new world no.5 with Stefanos Tsitsipas losing 1 position (he is now no.6).

Lorenzo Sonego and Tommy Paul managed to reach a career-high. The Italian (now no.32) impressed in Vienna after he reached the final as a lucky loser to even trash the great Novak Djokovic 6-2 6-1.
