Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Daniil Medvedev are still the leaders of the entry list of the ATP1000 in Bercy. Unfortunately, the event registered a lot of defections. Besides the well-known absence of Roger Federer, the tournament will not have the 2019 finalists’ presence. In fact, Djokovic (the defending champion) decided to skip the event as with the new ranking system he would not be able to add any point to his rankings. After a disappointing loss in Vienna’s first round, the 2019 runner-up Shapovalov decided to skip Bercy.
The tournament will not have the presence also of Fabio Fognini, John Isner, Reilly Opelka, Kei Nishikori, Guido Pella, and Nick Kyrgios.
