Novak Djokovic and Filip Krajinovic share a great relationship. The Serbians champions are used to hang out together and they share the practice court as much as they can. Unfortunately, Novak and Filip are going to face off as early as in the 1st round in Vienna.
When asked about their upcoming match, the world no.1 commented:
“I practiced with Filip for a few days in Belgrade before coming here and we joked around that we might draw each other and that’s what happened. The odds of this happening are very slim, the only two Serbian guys in the draw next to Lajovic play the first round.”
Talking about their friendship, Novak added:
“But it is what it is. We are great friends, I’ve known Filip for a long time. He’s a very talented guy, hard court is his preferred surface. He can play very quick tennis. We have similar games actually because we kind of grew up together.”
Novak and Filip are scheduled to play on Tuesday as the second match of the day on Center Court. The prediction is Djokovic winning in straight sets. However, it’s worth mentioning that their official H2H record is 1-1 and Filip has won their recent encounter at the Adria Tour.
