Sloane Stephens badly upset in Charleston

Another horrible match from Sloane. The American is really struggling to find her tennis after her wonderful Australian Open and the last match was really bad.

Sloane lost in 58 minutes to win only 2 games and being bageled in the second set. To add insult to injury, her opponent (ranked 113) played a 3 hours and 42 minutes match the day before. In order to recover from that Bethanie Mattek-Sands had to sleep 12 hours to have another 4 hour nap in the afternoon!!!

Sloane has definitely to sit down and think.

From Bethanie Mattek-Sands

“I was able to string some games together and get under her skin a bit,” said the 28 years-old

From Sloane

Sloane said she was surprised by Bethanie’s game to comment “She played well and I really couldn’t find a rhythm,” Stephens said. “The balls were going everywhere”
