Alexander Zverev routs Diego Sebastian Schwartzman 6-2 6-1 in the final in Cologne on Sunday after playing a great match to win his 13th career title, the 2nd of this season.
Sascha played great tennis and he was elated with his great performance. After the match he commented:
“I know in finals you have to play your best tennis to have a chance, so obviously [I am] extremely happy with my performance. Probably the best match of the past two weeks here. Diego is someone that you can really struggle with. He is somebody who doesn’t miss from the baseline.”
On the other side, Diego admitted that he couldn’t do much against the German as he was just too good. The Argentinian commented:
“Sascha was much better today. He deserved to win last week here and today he was perfect on court.”

Zverev in this set stepped up in great fashion to overplay Schwartzman and without struggling too much he won 6-2 after breaking Diego in the 5th (3-2) and in the 7th (5-2) game.
Diego was completely outplayed in the last 5 games of the set when the score went from 1-2 to 6-2.

That was one of the key issues for his loss.
