Jelena Ostapenko motors past Petra Martic 6-3 6-1 in the 1st round in Ostrava on Wednesday after playing a marvellous match to come up against Ons Jabeur in the 2nd round.

Martic was in a great position at the beginning of the set to break Ostapenko in the 1st game (1-0). Yet, the Latvian refused to bow to come back to break Petra in the 4th (2-2) and in the 6th (4-2) game before winning the set (6-3).
