Stefanos Tsitsipas and NBA Star Giannis Antetokounmpo troll Nick Kyrgios. VIDEO

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Giannis Antetokounmpo have been having some fun at Kyrgios’ expense.

Antetokounmpo And Tsitsipas On Kyrgios

Nick Kyrgios is never far away from controversy irrespective of whether he is on or off the tennis court. The Australian star has earned the reputation of being the bad boy of tennis due to his often-controversial antics and remarks. However, Nick has always had a good relationship with Stefanos Tsitsipas. The two tennis stars have made fun of each other in the past, and Tsitsipas recently enlisted the help of NBA superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo, to troll Kyrgios.

Tsitsipas and Antetokounmpo call Kyrgios nuts for his behavior at last year’s Washington Open

The two Greek athletes have been vacationing together in Athens, and they recently shared a hilarious video of themselves trolling Kyrgios. In the funny video clip, Antetokounmpo claimed that the Australian tennis player was “nuts” because of his erratic behavior at last year’s Washington Open. Kyrgios and Tsitsipas were playing each other in an intense semifinal match when the Australian threw a water bottle towards the umpire’s chair in frustration. When the match official confronted him, the 25-year-old star defended his actions by claiming that the water bottle had slipped out of his hands. Antetokounmpo and Tsitsipas trolled Kyrgios for the incident, and they went on to poke fun at him by declaring that Rafael Nadal was their favorite player.

Kyrgios and Tsitsipas have mutual respect for each other

Kyrgios has had a strained relationship with Nadal throughout his career. Tsitsipas and Antetokounmpo made the comments about Nadal after he won his 20th Grand Slam title at this year’s French Open. Despite the constant banter between Kyrgios and the Greek, the two have always had mutual respect for each other. Earlier in the year, Tsitsipas shared the Australian player’s number on social media. World No. 43 was not offended by the Stefanos’ actions, and he later revealed that he had given him permission to disclose the private number.

At last year’s Washington Open, Kyrgios won the affection of fans in the stadium after he gave the world No. 5 a new pair of shoes during their match. The two players were battling each other in the semifinals when Tsitsipas’s shoe tore up. After he learned of the incident, Nick walked over to his rival and hilariously knelt down before presenting him with a new pair of sports shoes. On the court, Kyrgios holds a 2-0 winning advantage over Tsitsipas. However, the Australian star has been on a free fall in the ATP rankings.

Kyrgios decided to skip this year’s US Open because of coronavirus concerns, and he is currently 43rd on the rankings. Tsitsipas had a good run at the French Open before suffering a leg injury in his semifinal match against Novak Djokovic. The world number five took a vacation to recover from the injury. Fans are now looking forward to seeing how Kyrgios responds to Tsitsipas and Antetokounmpo’s latest trolling video.
