Serena won a very tricky match against Li Na in breezy and sunny conditions in Miami.
The American and the Chinese had to cope with a difficult environment that made them to commit many unforced errors. The second serve was also a big problems for both as Serena committed 6 double faults on 11 service games and Li Na 7 on 10 service games. Serena also conceded 8 break points to save 6 of those.
Finally the wolrd no.1 won after 1 hour and 50 minutes to comment.
“It was like, ‘Look, I just can’t hit any more double-faults,“’ Williams said. “It’s embarrassing and unprofessional. I hit about 50 in one game, and it was just outrageous.”
