Naomi Osaka has decided not to play the Roland Garros as she struggled with a hamstring injury after her outstanding 3 weeks in New York that culminated with the US Open title. Therefore, Naomi took advantage of her break to pay a visit to Haiti, her father’s homeland, and dedicate her time to various promotional activities.

Naomi is extremely close to her sister Mari. Mari hasn’t achieved the same tennis greatness as her sister, but that hasn’t created any problem between the two. Instead, Mari is extremely active in supporting Naomi’s career. Osaka and her sister appeared in a Nike shoot as happy and colorful as ever.
In posting some pictures and a video on social media, Naomi commented:
“I wouldn’t have gotten into tennis without my sister. I was always watching her play, and I always wanted to be like her.”
Indeed, Naomi has always stated that she has always been inspired by her sister that beat her a number of times when they were young. That helped Naomi to accept defeat and to find new solutions. This is one of the secrets of the 3-time slam champion that is definitely going for more.
