Grigor Dimitrov and Maria Sharapova have been one of the most glamours tennis couple in the history of tennis. Grigor and Maria were caught strolling together in Milan back in 2012 and it appeared obvious that they were an item. Their relationship became public in the following years, with both also attending each other matches. Unfortunately, Grigor and Maria parted ways in 2015 for unknown reasons.
That apparently was a huge blow, especially for Grigor that later started dating Nicole Scherzinger.

After so many years, Grigor is still asked about his relationship with Sharapova that in the meantime she has retired from professional tennis. During a press conference at the French Open, the Bulgarian sensation commented:
“You can still be jealous. She’s good. We have always kept a good friendship, good relationship. I mean, I hope you follow her on Instagram. Maybe like this, you know what she does.”
Then Dimitrov revealed that mAria is rather happy despite the retirement to say:
“I’m not worried about her. I think she’s in a good place, I think in her life. She’s also the type of person that when you make such a, you know, such a decision and transition, you know it’s for the right reason and for the good. I don’t know. I wish I could tell you more.”

Ranked world no.20, Grigor has a 15-8 win-loss record in 2020. Grigor is now competing at the French Open where he defeated Gregoire Barrere 6-3 6-2 6-2, Andrej Martin 6-4 7-65 6-1 and Roberto Carballes Baena 6-1 6-3 ret..
Grigor Dimitrov will square off with Tsitsipas in the 4th round. In the past, they have never played each other up to now on the main tour.
