Ons Jabeur has made history to be the first Arab woman to reach the 4th round at the Roland Garros. Ons is extremely talented and it is sheer pleasure watching her playing tennis as she is using a lot of variations to be completely unpredictable during her matches. Here Ons’ brief bio.
Ons was born in Ksar Hellal, Tunisia on the 28th of August 1994 to Samira and Ridha Jabeur. She has two older brothers named Hatem and Marwen and an older sister Yasmine. Jabeur grew up in the city of Sousse just north of the well-known Monastir. She was introduced to tennis by her mother when she was just 3 and she was coached by Nabil Mlika for ten years until she was 13. Ons was struggling to find proper facilities in Sousse to often train at nearby hotels and therefore she decided to move to Tunis where she trained at the Lycée Sportif El Menzah, a place that was nurturing many upcoming athletes. Later, Ons went to Europe (France and Belgium) to improve her tennis.

Ons is now married to her husband Karim Kamoun that used to be a fencer and later joined her as her fitness coach. They got married back in 2015.
