Stefanos Tsitsipas shares his gratitude for his team and his father Apostolos after a convincing performance at the French Open

Stefanos Tsitsipas And His Father Apostolos

Stefanos Tsitsipas had a rather convincing win over his friend Pablo Cuevas in the 2nd round of the French Open. The Greek sensation didn’t have a smashing comeback after the resumption of the tours. Stefanos had a decent run at the Western & Southern Open in New York when he reached the final. However, he had 3 heartbreaking losses in the following 3 tournaments. At the US Open, he lost an impossible 3rd round against Borna Coric when he had 6 match points after leading 5-1 in the 4th set. Then, Tsitsipas lost in the opening match in Rome against Jannik Sinner playing extremely lousy tennis for his stellar standards. The 1st round at the French Open was also quite a drama as the Stefanos had to recover from a 0-2 sets deficit against Munar.

Tsitsipas crediting his father and team

Finally, Stefanos had a great performance against Cuevas and in the on-court interview that followed his match, he didn’t miss the chance to credit his team for the work done on his body. It was also nice to see Stefanos’ father in good mood. The world no.6 displayed a rather unpleasant behavior during his US open demise against Coric when he badly shouted at his father: “You don’t know!”

However, everything seems to be in the past and the Greek ace is now aiming at finally winning his first slam.
