"Mad Max" Gulbis beats Seppi to face Nadal in 4th round.

Enrest made it again…and now he will challenge Rafa to have the right to possibly play King Roger.

Gulbis is on an incredible winning streak after wining Delray Reach coming from the qualifications and reaching the 4th round here in Indian Wells coming from the qualifications once again (!).

Ernests was in good control of the match with Seppi. He had a “Mad Max” moment in the first set when he was 5-3 up and serviving for the set to be broken after a terrbile double fault. The outcome? Another racket going to heaven.

Then the Latvian regrouped to win the other two sets.

The next vs. Nadal

Ernests will play Nadal in the forth round. Head to head is 4-0 for Rafa, but Gulbis thinks he has real chances to beat the Spaniard

“I think the way I play right now, that should make a difference,” Gulbis said after the match. “I believe that I can win.”

“I like to play against him because his ball and his heavy spin, it’s good for my timing. I don’t like when the opponents hit flat, deep balls. I like the opponents hit spin, high balls. It’s easier for me to control them.”

“Of course he’s a great player, but I believe, honestly I believe, that if I play my best game I can beat him.”

That is going to be a very interesting match.
