Simona Halep reveals that the best match of her career was when she defeated Serena Williams in her perfect 2019 Wmbledon final

Simona Halep had a great beginning of her 2020 French Open campaign after defeating a dangerous Sara Sorribes Tormo 6-4 6-0. Simona had a slow start against the Spaniard to trail 1-3 and then 2-4. However, after finding her range, the Romanian sensation won 10 consecutive games to qualify for the 2nd round.

After the match, Simona was asked an atypical question: if she has ever played a perfect match. She replied without hesitations recalling the 2019 Wimbledon final when she demolished Serena Williams 6-2 6-2:

“The final in Wimbledon. I think that one, it was perfect. I actually, I sit down and I try to analyze what I did wrong or what I did less good. Doesn’t exist. So that match is perfect.”

After the final, Serena found the funny side of her demise to jokingly ask Simona if she “was out of her mind” as she played incredible tennis.
