Lorenzo Musetti is more and more one of the most interesting upcoming players to watch. The young Italian has extremely watchable tennis full of variations and with a backhand that earned even the congratulations of Rafael Nadal.
Lorenzo is now in Forli, where he has reached the final after beating the likes of Frances Tiafoe and Andreas Seppi. Also, Musetti impressed the week before when he reached the 3rd round at the Internazionali d’Italia after beating in straight sets Stan Wawrinka and Kei Nishikori.

regarding the upcoming Roland Garros, Lorenzo didn’t get any help (ie. wild card) from the Tennis French Federation that instead gave most of the wildcards to French players. That’s also their loss.

“Last year, after I won the Australian Open juniors, I started this process. It was not easy at the beginning, but as I played more matches and saw my ranking go up, it helped me a lot.
The experience in Rome was great, but the real work was in the month before, when I was playing the Challengers in Todi, Trieste and Cordenons. Those were an amazing three tournaments and I played a lot of important matches. I entered Rome with a lot of trust in my game,” he commented.
