Naomi Osaka has conquered the heart of many people around the world for her activism. Besides winning the US Open playing great tennis, the Japanese sensation hit the headlines for showing up at every match with a different face mask carrying the names of victims of racism.
Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton is always more than happy in supporting the Black Lives Matter movement. The Brit is also used to be extremely vocal against racism and he didn’t hide his admiration for Naomi Osaka and her activism to comment:
“We have to continue to raise awareness with it and Naomi has been doing amazing, so huge congratulations to her. I think she’s an incredible inspiration with what she’s done with her platform. I think we just have to continue to push on the issue.”
Unfortunately, Naomi received some critics for the fact that she has been using her “tennis platform” against racism. Her reply was that she will not back off to add that being criticized is even giving more motivation for her to continue.

Now ranked no.3, Naomi played her last match on the 12th of September when she beat Victoria Azarenka 1-6 6-3 6-3 in the final of the U.S. Open to win her 6th career title.
At present, this year Osaka has a 16-3 win-loss record. Naomi conquered 1 title at the U.S. Open. The Japanese reached the final in New York.
