However, while Naomi was widely applauded for her stance against racism, there are some people that do not like the fact that Naomi is “bringing politics” to tennis. It’s the typical comment: “stick to tennis!”

Things got a bit more animated after Naomi Osaka’s boyfriend kept on showing the middle finger during the pictures that followed her great triumph in New York.
Naomi tweeted:
“All the people that were telling me to “keep politics out of sports”, (which it wasn’t political at all), really inspired me to win. You better believe I’m gonna try to be on your tv for as long as possible.”
Of course, we are pleased with seeing Naomi on TV as much as possible, especially when she carries her messages playing great tennis. However, things are getting rough.
Let’s hope that Naomi doesn’t get too much entangled in debating with people on social media. Her wise mother Tamaki after a match at the US Open was very clear with her: “stay away from the social media.” She was probably right.
