Novak Djokovic had a rather adventurous run in New York. The Serbian champion was blessed with the great win of the Western & Southern Open. However, when everything looked well set for him to conquer his 18th slam at the following US Open, Novak defaulted after unintentionally hitting a lines judge at the throat.
Nole was shocked and deeply saddened by what has happened, and he decided to head back to Marbella to spend some quality time with his family while training at the same premises of the “love guru” Pepe Imaz.
Given the circumstances in New York, the Serbian ace didn’t have the luxury of having the company of his lovely family. Unfortunately, Novak missed the 3rd birthday of his daughter Tara.
Novak’s wife Jelena posted a rather delightful picture of Tara watching her dad on court saying: “Everyone has their guardian angel. 😇We got you safe daddy”

Now the world no.1, the Serbian played his last match on the 6th of September when he capitulated to Pablo Carreno-Busta 6-5 def. in the 4th round of the U.S. Open.
At the moment, this season Djokovic has a 26-1 win-loss record. Djokovic clinched 3 titles in 2020 at the Australian Open, in Dubai and in New York.
