Dominic Thiem breezes past Alex De Minaur 6-1 6-2 6-4 in the quarter in New York on Wednesday after playing a good match to square off with Daniil Medvedev in the semifinal.

Thiem was in a great position at the beginning of the set to break De Minaur in the 2nd game (2-0). Anyhow, there was more work to do for Dominic to win the set since Alex succeeded in breaking back in the 3rd (1-2) game. The Austrian maintained his cool to break the Australian in the 4th (3-1) and in the 6th (5-1) game before conquering the set (6-1).
