‘Djokovic needed to be disqualified’ – SAYS SAD CORIC

Borna Coric explains why Djokovic had to be disqualified after hitting the lines judge at the US Open

Coric And Djokovic

Borna Coric and Novak Djokovic are in fantastic terms. Borna has never been shy in professing his admiration for the Serbian champion and he was more than happy in taking part in the (then) disgraced Adria Tour.

Borna is having an outstanding run at the US Open where he reached the quarters after saving 6 match points against the great Stefanos Tsitsipas in a dramatic 3rd round.

After dismissing Jordan Thompson in straight sets in the 4th round, Coric released some comments about Djokovic’s unfortunate defaulting:

“I feel sorry for him. At the same time, you know, that’s the rules. I think he needed to be defaulted. There is not much else to say. Again, I do feel sorry for him. He’s my friend. Obviously I think nobody’s happy that that happened.”
